2024-25 School Year

Here we go! The school year started today. This year I'm teaching middle and high school English.

Many of you were wondering why I had to hurry back to Lake Havasu City in the heat of summer. I must admit, my feet dragged a little bit on returning to Havasu from Missouri. I knew the heat would be bad. Of course, it was extra bad because I returned to Havasu during a heat wave with temperatures that first week back in the 100-teens every day. At a few points during the day, my vehicle temperature registered around 120-122-degrees Fahrenheit.

So....this is what I'm up to these days. While I'm not inside the RV right now--too hot without AC--I am renting a room inside Brenda's house. Rest assured, the RV is safe and sound in Escalante, just waiting for me to pick it up over fall break. (We get a week off! Eeeep!)

Until that time, I'm in the trenches with a focus on serving the students and their parents as we learn grammar, writing, spelling, vocabulary, literature, and creative writing!
